Hey, I think it'd be funny. If you could tie it in with the episode where Hawkeye storms the peace talks and then comes back and ends up at the 'Anti-Green' party, that'd be even better. You could have the Hetalia characters as their respective countries at the peace talks...
You know... they WOULD argue over how tall the flag poles would have to be...

Yeah, they probably would. Main issue though if I did that really is there'd be no way for Ireland to be present. Ireland didn't become a member of the UN until the 70s. Russia kept blackballing her, which is a laugh since Russia was also the first nation to recognize Irish independence when they separated from the UK back in the 1920s.
...And I'm not quite sure, but Radar had been discharged by then, hadn't he? I kinda want as many Irish-ancestry characters there as possible. And well. O'Reilly. Ignore that, apparently that's the second episode of season 7. Definitely still had Radar. Main point still stands though.

But that'd be almost perfect, don't you see? Ireland keeps trying to get in on the peace talks because people of Irish descent are dying, Russia keeps refusing to let her participate, then she hears that Canada's been hurt and is recovering at one of America's M*A*S*H units (Probably learns from an off-hand remark from America through a mouthful of burgers), so when Hawkeye shows up, does what he did in the episode and heads back to the 4077th, Ireland tags along with him to see Canada.

Well, going to write it (It's on the backlog now) but that wouldn't work. Canada's lucky if anyone remembers him, after all. America sure as hell wouldn't.
And honestly? If Ireland had been in the UN at the time she'd be out there fighting in the war, not sitting back in Pammujong with the peace talking folk. Or trying to, given that her economy was shite around that time.

Eden Too (West Wing/I Dream of Jeannie crossover/AU, probably from '17 People')
Donna is a half-genie. The pull to have a master is getting stronger (possible alternate explanation for the return to Free-Ride) and she chooses her boss and best friend, Josh...
Hijinks ensue.

Robonin (or "Another puppet-limbs Naruto story")
Naruto is left for dead by Kakashi after he fails to retrieve Sasuke, but found by the Sand-Sibs on their way back to Suna. With Chiyo's help his body is rebuilt and replaced in the tradition of the Suna puppet masters and he becomes half man, half 'machine'... all Ninja.
"My friends call me 'Naruto'. You call me... Robonin."
(Was it just me, or did that line at the end - "My friends call me 'Murphy'. You call me... 'Robocop'." make the whole third movie worth watching?)

The Cost of A Bullet By J.T. Magnus, "Turbo"
----
'Kill one to save a thousand', crossed through his mind as he leveled the three-hundred meter bar of his scope on the prominent nose of his target, 'No more manipulations, no more Blood Wars, no more orphans... it ends here, now, before it can begin again.'
He had seen firsthand how everything that had gone wrong in magical Britain in the last fifty years could be traced back to this man, acting outside his remit, recognizing no authority but his own... something that the man behind the gun had become familiar with since discovering that the so-called authorities were themselves the true enemies, playing one side against the other; a privilege granted here, a innate right denied there and everyone became so busy blaming each other that no one paid them any attention. Too many good men and women had died so that this man's ego could be satisfied with titles and power...
Too many lives had been ruined, his own included.
There were a lot of ways that 'the power the Dark Lord knows not' could be defined; love, true love... the willingness to sacrifice oneself for a friend, a cause, a loved one... self-sacrifice itself...
Or an Iver Johnson model 5100 .50 caliber sniper rifle with a Leupold Ultra scope, what some non-Magical military personnel called the 'Big Fifty' and others simply titled 'The Hand of God'.
When your powerbase is magical in nature, you pay little attention to technological advances in the 'mundane' world, part of the reason that it ended up in the situation in was in.
Both primary and secondary targets were lined up, the bullet had been conjured so that it would simply fade away without a trace leaving the wizarding world looking for a spell that never happened or existed. Knowing your enemies, having been taught by them turned out to be an asset when you had to kill them, you knew how they thought. His enemies tonight, the reason he was here in a time and place he shouldn't exist, thought that blood and magic gave them the right to control the lives of others.
He had learned a different lesson from them, though, especially from the primary target... He had learned that the only way to have any control was to take it for yourself, that the only destiny anyone really had was death...
Right now, control was two-tenths of a pound of pressure applied to a trigger set to release at a quarter-pound and death waited in the chamber.
"May the world to come be better than the one that was," The sniper prayed in a whisper, applying the last of the force to the trigger and feeling the 'Hand of God' reach out and find Albus Dumbledore and Gellart Grindlewald wanting.
----
Author's Notes/Explanation: This drabble evolved from a thought about 'what if Harry decided that everything could be traced back to the actions and inactions of Dumbledore and that meant that so those that had died because of them could live, Albus Dumbledore had to die before he came to power'.
Since he became the 'Great Man, Dumbledore' after defeating Grindlewald, the opportune time to eliminate both Dark Lord and save the first victim - Ariana Dumbledore - would be during the time Dumbledore and Grindlewald were friends and could be eliminated at the same time.
The reasons for Harry's decision are semi-deliberately left up to the reader who can imagine this as the beginning of a story, middle of the story or end of the story that begins the next great story... All of which I leave up to anyone who wants to try their hand at it to write, just let me know so that I can read it.

'Cost of a Bullet' is now available on FF.net as a drabble so people who don't know me can tell me how much I suck as though I don't already know that.

B5, AU, G/T...
Starting from "Voice in the Wilderness"... After Lis (Leese? sp?) drops her bombshell.
"Buy you a drink?"
"I quit... and right now, I think that's the biggest mistake I ever made."
"That bad?"
"Worse. I don't know if you realise this or not, but I'm not exactly the luckiest person in the galaxy. One of the few friends I have died because I was too drunk to fly and he took my place, after that, I stopped drinking because of what it cost me."
"I don't really think luck has anything to do with it."
"Really? Do you know why I'm even here, Ms. Winters? I'm not Earthdome's favorite person. They wanted Jeff to run this place and were willing to do whatever it took. They wanted him here and he wanted me here. When someone you've crawled through a Martian desert with offers you a second chance, only an idiot doesn't take it. And you know what I did? Like an idiot I took it. I left a career that meant nothing to me and a woman that meant everything to come out here, and right now I can't think of a damn thing it's gotten me in the last three years besides a lot of headaches and sleepless nights."

(Title card, white on black) 'The evil that men do lives after them'.
(Narration;) "Fifteen years ago, Doctor Miles Hawkins was paralyzed by a stray gunshot during a riot. His body was damaged, but not his mind. To regain the ability to walk, Dr. Hawkins invented the Mechanically Augmented Neuro-Transmitter Intergration System to bypass the damaged nerves. He never intended to become a hero, but when the exoskeleton offered him the chance, he didn't refuse. He gave it everything he had, he gave it his life.
Now, with nobody to stop him, Solomon Box owns Port Columbia. He owns city hall, he owns the police, he owns the gangs, all bought with money and power. He owns the streets... and it's time to take them back.
M.A.N.T.I.S. activated."
Plot; Fifteen years after the original's death in the series finale (in other words, 'present day - 2010'), a young science student (and martial artist. I'm thinking, just for added irony, Mantis-style Kung Fu) is injured, much like Hawkins in the original, and accidently discovers the doctor's lab. Using his electronics and computer knowledge (and spare parts that are a decade and a half behind current tech) he manages to recreate the M.A.N.T.I.S., first to stop a massive surge of gang violence intended to give Solomon Box the excuse he needs to take direct control of Port Columbia during the 'state of emergency', and then with the intent on breaking Box's hold over the city.
...One of the more interesting things in mind is adding a pair of 'mantis blades' to the arms of the suit in addition to the neuro-stingers...

"Knights of Justice"Call it chance, call it destiny, call it fate (Perhaps even Dr. Fate), but when time and space intersect, Gotham will never be the same. He is Terry McGinnis, son of Warren and Mary McGinnis - to the public the aide and bodyman for aged billionaire Bruce Wayne. He is James Gordon, sergeant in the Gotham Megatropolian Police Department and grandson of the Commissioner James Gordon. He is Bruce Wayne, billionaire playboy who spends most of his time in life-threatening situations trying to recapture a lost part of his youth. They are Batman. And they've been drawn together from different worlds along with their closest allies in a last ditch effort to save Gotham from the worst threat it's ever faced... A story idea - and yes, Daniel, you can consider it a challenge if you want - combining Batman Beyond (and thus Animated), Digital Justice and Dark Knight returns. Also featuring Carrie Kelly (DKR) and Bob Chang (DJ) as Robin, Sheila "Gata" Romero (DJ) as Catwoman, along with Max Gibson (BB) and Oliver "Green Arrow" Queen (DKR). (And yes, in case you were wondering, Gata and Gordon ARE a couple - at least by the end of Digital Justice, anyway.) Sidethought... A Comics/DCAU crossover with Batman Beyond and Batman... specifically, Knightfall. Somehow, Terry ends up across T/S at the 'Breaking of the Bat' and takes Bruce's place as Batman instead of JP... "Even if you're telling the truth, this isn't your Gotham!" Robin snapped. Terry remained calm, remembering something the Old Man had told him on several occasions, "Are criminals here superstitious and cowardly?" "Yes," Bruce spoke up from his bed, "They are." Terry gave a sharp nod, "And the Commissioner's a Gordon and clowns aren't funny. Not that different... Car doesn't fly is about it." "Interesting," Bruce muttered, and Terry could see the ideas forming in his mind.

"Rock and Roll Heaven" DP... named after the Rightous Brothers song.
Danny gets bored and enters the Ghost Zone hoping for something to happen; He runs into Ember who drags him to an unofficial truce meeting, the Annual 'Music Without Borders' Concert.
Black button-up shirt, black jeans and boots, "Hello, I'm Johnny Cash. Welcome...." blah blah blah "Before we being, I've got some bad news for you all; ole Hank couldn't make it tonight, an old friend of his is making a late night visit and he wanted to be there to say hello."
When Elvis starts his love songs, Ember is listening with her eyes closed and slowly unconsciously leaning towards Danny.
---
program;
Johnny Cash/June Carter; "If I Were A Carpenter"
Conway Twitty; "Danny Boy"
Marty Robbins; "Ruby Ann"
Jimi Hendrix; "All Along the Watchtower"
Richie Valle; "La Bamba"
Buddy Holly; "That'll Be The Day" (Irony much?)
The Big Bopper; "Chantilly Lace"
Elvis; "Can't Help Falling in Love"

Semi-reload DP idea; Danny and Ember end up back at the beginning and when she shows up for the concert in what would have been "Fanning the Flames", Sam, Danny and Tucker get VIP passes to the concert and for the final song Ember tosses a microphone into the crowd - to Danny, actually - and he joins her on stage for a duet of Tiffany's 'I Think We're Alone Now' and they reveal their relationship.

Got a request to expand on the 'Bullet' AU for HP...
Hm... Without Dumbledore to constantly send him back to the orphanage or Grindlewald as inspiration, Riddle might not become the fanatic of canon... in fact, if he goes the other way, reacts to how a pure-blood screwed up his life from the beginning by being anti-pureblood.... Ally with Hagrid and Flitwick as students... three halfs; half-blood, half-giant and half-goblin... hm...

'Thunderbolt Inititive' X-Evo AU, based on the 'Freedom Force' arc in the mainstream comics.
What if S.H.I.E.L.D. had gotten to the Brotherhood mutants first? Featuring Lance, Fred, Todd, St. John, Wanda and Tabitha as S.H.I.E.L.D. agents led by an evotized Sean Cassidy (Banshee).
Possibly will involve an answer to that ever-burning of questions... what kind of parent names their kid 'St. John'?
This has ended up becoming my continuation of 'Joyride Reversed', 'Sons of Liberty'.
