"When It's Springtime in Alasaka", Johnny Horton on Last.FM....
Which is actually a bratty lil' site, innit? Pain in the neck to actually get it to play the songs you want to hear at times.... Seriously, Amanda... how do you get it to play a specific song on Last.FM?

"James (Hold The Ladder Steady)", Sue Thompson...
It's about a couple who, when she shows her parents her engagment ring her mother says she must be crazy and her father refuses permission, bluntly telling them that the only way they'll be getting married is if they elope.
Yeah. In the immortal words of Bill Engvall, "Here's your sign!"
As you can tell by the song title, that's what they're doing - She's coming down the ladder from her bedroom and they're going to elope. The last verse talks about how tomorrow morning the parents are going to flip, the dad's going to be saying they can't, mom's going to feel faint, and while they're doing that the singer's going to be kissing her husband's lip.
Yeah... *Points at Amanda and Daniel* For some reason, it makes me think of you two.

"Sk8er Boi" - Avril Lavigne.
If it wasn't for the skater boy and MTV, I'd almost be wondering if you had been talking, Johnnie...
'Tis rather... familar, innit?
