Good point. I'm reminded of Heinlein's 'Baking Corollery' - A skilled chef can take dough, apples, etc. and turn them into a valuable pie...
An unskilled chef can take those ingredients - already worth something - and turn them into an inedible mess worth nothing. (It was in "Starship Troopers", debunking communism, but it still fits.)
...And the game was 'Darkwatch'.

Sweet! It's the same crew. Nothing worse than a sequel that has different people in established roles.

Sweet! It's the same crew. Nothing worse than a sequel that has different people in established roles. Yeah, but the best part (for both the live-action and animated movies) is that one of the producers is a Hellboy FAN... and the other producer is Hellboy's CREATOR. With that combination, I'm not sure it's possible to go wrong. (Seriously, on the commentary for "Hellboy", it talks about how Del Toro walked into a room where Migolna was waiting to discuss who to have play Hellboy and the first words out of BOTH persons' mouth was "Ron Perlman".) Speaking of - Have you heard the myth that "James Bond" isn't so much the character's name as it is the codename for whoever holds the position of Agent 007 at any given time, thus explaining the reason why so many different actors can play Double-Oh Seven and it still be "James Bond"?

At the risk of reviving a long-dead topic, I have had another "Weep for the future" moment.
Disney has officially crossed the line from "continuing the stories" to full-blown "milking the franchise" with their upcoming movie...
Tinkerbell.

I don't know which is worse - that they are making a live-action 'Avatar: Last Airbender' movie... or that it's being done by M. Night Shamalan...
God help us all...

Not sure if it counts as a 'movie' or 'tv', but I'm squee-ing on the inside...
Recently released; "Captain Power: The Complete Series" on DVD.
*Sing-song voice* I know what I want.
