It was actually a little over a year ago, the Sunday before last Memorial Day (2004), the dedication ceremony for the World War II Memorial in D.C....
This one jerk in the row in front of me, must've been in his late teens or in his twenties, when POTUS took the stage for the actual dedication speech, began heckling. You know "BOO! BABY-KILLER!" bullshit like that.
He had me, a veteran's wife from the row in front of him, and several others telling him to sit down and shut up. I was standing up myself to go get event security when someone, I guess it was his dad or something MADE him sit down and shut up.
Now there's one thing you need to understand, I was just there attending the ceremony, but I was in uniform, and how this asshole acted really pissed me off. He was being disrespectful to the men and women who had died in WWII, those veterans who have passed on since it, and those still living - in attendance or not, all other veterans, and he was also being disrespectful to the men and women in the service now, and it took all of my self-control not to eject him from the event myself, preferably by grabbing him by the shirt collar and throwing him a few yards.

No drink on this one either. I haven't been in a single accident, although my car has... *would glare at Alexei if he wasn't at work* And it has yet to be fixed. *this time, her death glare probably makes it across town to where Alexei works*

You might not have, but you've came close, Johnnie. Five thousand in repairs? I don't know which is more surprising, that amount, the fact that you knew EXACTLY how they'd fix it before they did, or that a month later you sideswiped a tree.
