No. There's not so much a 'safe' way as there is a 'least dangerous' way. Even the least dangerous way still will cause you to be affected by a little bit of radiation.

right. But a "Pebble Bed Reactor" uses only a handful of the stuff, which does give off radiation, but not quite enough to do any permanent damage except through long peroids of exposure.
