I don't know. Today's touches on a lot of writing - "Created Fan Character", "'Check out my fanfic! It's got ninjas, space pirates and time travel!'"
(Which, I should note, isn't exactly fanfic-exclusive considering Nightbird and Sixshot, Cannonball and BW Lazorbeak, and anything relating to Beast Wars or the comic Unicronians...)

The Fanette? They're not a myth, they're just all residents of the Padded Cell.
Did you see today's Fanus Maximus?

Oh Primus, that's so true it's scary...
The cape and crown are what sell it too.

...Was it just me, or did they make you think of the Coronation scene from the original movie, too?

It sure looks like what Screamer had. It would make sense as something an uberfan would have made (or bought) too.

From left to right we've got Movicon Jazz, Bucky Barnes, Spock and Jean Grey/Phoenix.
The joke is that all three of the 'squishies' died and fans were told they were dead and WERE NOT coming back. Spock returned in the very next movie, Jean/Phoenix died and came back so many times it's used as a joke among X-fans, and Bucky died (1945), was replaced by a look-alike (1953), who was frozen and revived in the 80's, look-alike Bucky then went on to become Nomad and later Scourge, while it was discovered in the 00's that the original Bucky survived and was found, frozen and cybernetically enhanced and programmed by the Soviets to become their Winter Soldier who holds a grudge (Held, I should say, given Cap's death - yeah, right, Steve Rogers is another one of those who couldn't stay dead if he wanted to) against Captain America for abandoning him (as Winter Soldier sees it).

I got the context, but not being a big comic book fan, I didn't recognize Bucky.

Sounds like the first movie to me, is he saying it'll get worse?
