Six minutes into the first episode, and all I have to say is:
HOLY F*CK, THIS IS A KIDS SHOW? THERE'S REAL DEATH AND INVADING ARMIES THAT KINDA REMIND ME OF THE CYBERMEN AND THE TOTAL WIPING OUT OF 99% OF THE EARTH'S POPULATION AND HOLY SHIT THIS IS AWESOME.
Also the Black Ranger looks kinda cute.

Yeah, the one drawback that I can see is it's kinda tough to put 'in continuality' with any of the other series because of that.
Actually reminded me of 'Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future' - even had someone connected to the enemy (uh, Ziggy, I think.... the one with the Venijix technology inside him) on the team ala Pilot - meets Mad Max... But, I'm willing to give it a chance (probably because I'm a Captain Power fan and a Power Rangers fan)...
After all, nothing can be as bad as Mystic Force, right?

Well, the folks at TV Tropes seem to think it's somewhere between SPD and Time Force. And it's Dillon you're thinking of, not Ziggy. Ziggy's Green. A Bridge type of Green from the looks of it.
I dunno, I heard Jungle Fury was pretty bad, and I'm still wondering how big a blasphomey a stupid Blue will turn out to be.

Jungle Fury wasn't that bad, it just didn't take itself as seriously as some series... It was more like Ninja Storm (Dustin's hidden geek, Lothor's remarks, etc) with Dominic having the Rhino Dagger, but it being lost among his stuff or Flit's antics than it was like, say, S.P.D. or Operation Overdrive.
My thing with Jungle Fury was the similarities between their morphing sequence and that of a certain non-canonical team we're all familiar with...
("Jungle Beasts, Spirits Unleashed!" and "With the (blank) of a (blank)!" vs. "Unleash that within... Dragon/Magick/etc. Spirit!" and "Magick Spirit! Power beyond explanation!", etc...)
Though if they're having to repopulate the world from only one percent, that would explain the genetic engineering and lab-born humans from Time Force (Where Katie's super-strength came from genetic re-engineering at birth and Ransik was a flawed lab-born)....

That totally pissed me off too. Yay for being a fan guys, but plagiarism? Not so cool. Though if they're having to repopulate the world from only one percent, that would explain the genetic engineering and lab-born humans from Time Force (Where Katie's super-strength came from genetic re-engineering at birth and Ransik was a flawed lab-born).... That's pretty much the logic the fans seem to be following. And are hoping for a Forever Red tie in with the whole Venjix thing.

...Doubt we're that lucky. Probably just pulled up a list of names that they had the rights to and picked one at random...

I dunno, they're pretty consistent on using different names when they're not last names.
I think odds are pretty good for Venjix being an AI that's been reversed engineered into a virus.
