While we're on the subject:
In Hell, Michigan, a city 60 miles west of Detroit, there will be a party dedicated to the date. I wonder what the DJ will be spinning on that day? "Sympathy for the Devil," perhaps?

R.I.P. "Planet" Pluto, 193?-2006.
Scientists have declared that Pluto does not have enough gravity to be considered a planet. Lovers of Sailor Pluto weep the world over for the loss.
I think it was a matter of time, really...

Actually, it's a whole new classification, "Dwarf Planet"...
I feel the time for Gimli and/or The Seven Dwarf jokes is now.
(Is waiting on them to discover a "Dark Matter Planet" outside Pluto's orbit that'll be the tenth object in the solar system... I mean come on, we all know it's there!)

I still like the other solution (make Pluto/Charon a dual planet, and include Ceres and the new one, currently nicknamed Xena, for a total of twelve planets) better. And I still wonder about some International organisation demoting the one planet Americans discovered...

In Literati-affecting news, Marshall Field's, a landmark Chicago chain has been bought out and replaced by the infamous scourge of New York - Macy's. Many long-time Field's shoppers have vowed to never again set foot inside the site untill and unless the Field's name and trademark green are returned. money.excite.com/ht/nw/bus//20060909/hle_bus-n09172370.htmlIn Video Gaming news, "Eternal Force" a game based on the popular Christian book series Left Behind is planned to be out later this year (I'm betting 2007 though...). While Christian based, as near as this Literati can tell, it's basically Sims meets Doom.... apnews.excite.com/article/20060909/D8K1EB780.html

Yeah, there was a protest today, while Macy's/Field's gave all it's custumers free cake and punch. Including protesters. It's kinda silly, as the Field's/Macy's is trying to keep everything about the store the same EXCEPT the name. Inside, it the same as it ever was.
