Since we're talking about story ideas, I had an interesting one today while on duty.
In Back To The Future, the whole thing starts because Doc left the Flux Capacitor and Time Circuits on and Marty tried to hit 90 to get away from the Libiyans ....
Now, proposed for your consideration, the following:
Doctor Brown shut off the Time Circuits after the inital test with Einstein in the DeLorean, and thus Martin McFly was able to escape the Libiyans by out-racing them.
The U.S. Government, looking for the stolen plutonium that now powers the DeLorean finds it and McFly.
He is then made a special agent of the government with the DeLorean time machine at his command...
(Think things like "Seven Days", "Quantum Leap", etc...)
His first mission: Save Doctor E.L. Brown.

The only problem with that is that the government would rather shoot him than make him a government agent.

I do like me a good AU story (my collection of Eva fic bookmarks will bear that out), and this does sound like it has promise. Maybe add a young, attractive DOD tech to help figure out Doc Brown's work (and vie for Marty's affections...  ) |

1. It's a STORY, Stories do not have to be based on reality, I would say reality when out the window in the Official BTTF Trilogy the moment the DeLorean first went through time.
2. I heard you mention you want to move to France? Please do, (Glances around at Jessica, Amanda, and others) It'd make a LOT of us VERY happy. If you think that the government of the United States of America is THAT bad, there's a lot of room in France and Canada that you might find more to your liking!

When Iggy asked me to where I want to live in Europe, I listed the cities of Vienna, Prague, and Heidelburg. Coincidentally, NONE of those cities happen to be in France. Where you picked up the idea that I want to live in France, I have no clue. It's nice, Paris is pretty, the south of France is absolutely goregeous - nice places for vacations. But live there? No thank you. There are plenty of other nations in Europe that I'd rather live in. In addition, I couldn't give a rat's ass one way or the other what you think of me. I don't come to this board for you - I come here because I like talking to Iggy, Gibb, and Morti - not that I've seen Morti in quite a while. I wish Menkin would come back as well, although I doubt that will happen. It's too bad that you can't stand me, but don't think that your negative opinion of me affects me one way or the other. You hate me, I pity you, you can't stop acting like an asshole towards me no matter what I do, so why should I care what you think? Keep wallowing in your fantasy world, I'm having fun out here in real life - I think the stick is up your ass, Mr. J.T. Magnus, not mine. But hey, if that's the way you like it, then have fun.
