This post will be kept updated with a list of all challenges and any responses.

1. (10/01/05) Halloween is just around the corner, and you know what that means. Pick your fandom, pick your characters, and start writing! It doesn't even have to be about Halloween, just something associated with Halloween, like says ghosts or something.

2. (10/01/05) It's October, which is a big sports month. The baseball playoffs happen, football is getting into high gear, hockey and basketball are getting ready to start. So how about some sports fic? (Taken from the Joeland G.I. Joe fanfiction mailing list.)

3. (10/12/05) Thanksgiving: First Thanksgiving rendition
Your view of the first Thanksgiving with the characters from one of your favorite shows as the stars! It does not have to historically accurate, but it does have to included some of the points of the first dinner.

4. (10/12/05) Christmas: The Night Before Christmas or A Christmas Carol
Put the characters from one of your favorite shows into one or both of these classic stories about Christmas. They can be anything from the serious to the comical. as long as they follow the major points of the stories.

5. (11/09/05) Write an Amazon Crossover, that is, Justice League/Unlimited (Wonder Woman, Princess Diana of Themyscira) and Ranma 1/2 (Xian Pu/Shampoo, great-granddaughter of the leader of the tribe of Chinese Amazons).

6. (12/23/06) Write a Christmas or New Year's fic! Any kind of fic, any series!

8. (10/1/19) MrWriterWriter's newest challenge;

Ever wonder what could have been if Naruto had found something in the Scroll besides Shadow Clones? I Mean, it's the FORBIDDEN SCROLL. Anything could probably be in it.

Which is why I now offer The 'What's in the Scroll?' Challange.

Rules:

1)No Kage Bunshin. Naruto either decides against it or finds something before getting to it.

2) What he finds can be a weapon..(Kung Lao's hat, The Witchblade, ect..) Or it can be someone (IE; Felicia from Darkstalkers, Razel from Soul Reaver..) your choice.

3) Naruto can retain a bit of his old self, but must aquire SOME badass-ness. If a person, they can either offer him something in exchange for being freed or make a decision to help after seeing what he has to put up with

4) Parings: Naru/Hina, femFaku, or Tenten, or a combination. Harem is optional.

5) Bashings: not essential, but Team 7 bashing is encouraged. Any others will be up to the writer's tastes.

6) Naruto has to beat seven shades of shit out of Sasuke AT LEAST once in the fic. (somewhere aside from the VoTE.)

7) Please...no yaoi. FemNaruto..?(Naruko?)...mmmmMaybe...

(I'm thinking, personally, the Phantom's Skull Ring {with the memories of twenty-four Phantoms embedded inside, as an explanation - albeit completely uncanonical - as to the why he'd become the new Ghost-Who-Walks} with a Tenten pairing...)

...Another possible thought I just had was that the Right Hand of Doom could be what Naruto finds in the Forbidden Scroll - it bonds with him replacing his natural arm and ends up giving him some of Hellboy's personality traits (I'm seeing him plucking Asuma's unlit cig right out of his mouth, lighting it up ala-Liz with the hand flame thing, then making a bad joke like Red does).

Just a thought, considering that it might be told in flashback/in media res with Naruto sitting on a rooftop and telling Tora the cat (reference to Hellboy's thing for cats) about the past couple weeks while his so-called 'team' searches all over the city for Tora.
Mental image is Tora curled up on the arm part of the Right Hand while Naruto pets her with his left.

Naruto took the cigarette out of his mouth and used it to point at Asuma, "Yeah? Well I'm also too young for my own village to want me dead, but it does - so I'm gonna sit here, I'm gonna have a smoke and wait for that tardy bastard to show up, and if you think you can stop me..."

The red-handed one placed the cigarette back in his mouth and leaned back, "Try and stop me."

Okay... if he passes and gets placed on the OCD Sensei's team ala canon, then after the 'Real Genin Test' and that 'leave Naruto tied up' bull Sarutobi decides to switch Naruto and Neji, I can get it both ways...

Add in Dracohalo's "Hates Yondaime", it fits and will add a nice little scene about "I only have one Father, and his name was Broom"...

Start with team 7, switch with Neji to team 9...
Haku and Zabuza live.
Danzo will be... not quite one of the good guys, but not a blatant enemy. He's a patriot, for better or worse he's loyal to the Leaf even if not to Sarutobi. He and Naruto will have an agreement since neither of them trust the monkey.
Isarabi will make an interesting addition to the emergent new B.P.R.D. (parallels to Abe)

Naruto raised an eyebrow and walked over to the Jonin, clenching and unclenching his right hand, then drew back and slapped him across the back of the head, "Try reading the signs, Dipshit. I'll be on the roof."

9. (10-5, mark 14) I've seen stories where Harry travels back in time - where Hermione, Luna, even Draco travel back in time...

But I've never seen a story written where George (or Fred... I can't remember which twin survived) travels back in time to set things right. Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to write it.
