Very unusual wedding ceremony. I love Aurora, being the mom of an anime freak and having attending conventions I already knew of a baka was. lol Alot of detail in this and a bit of humor too. Orlando and Viggo have some great friends to go along with this.

Actually Amanda, Ksa's isn't one of my favorites. In fact, more than anything else, it makes me sad because that kind of spirit's gone out of MSTing.

You want to know why? Because Danielle is a friend of mine in the armed services and the story she reviewed was a 'songfic' of mine named Arlington, a G.I. Joe story about Arlington National Cemetery. I've gotten other, more eloquet reviews about it, but there's something about a member of the military telling you they liked a story about the military.

Lmao! That was rich! As a military girl myself, I can tell you that you have it down to a 't'. We are totally like that with other branches. The Marines and Army invited us to a rifle range so they could 'teach' us to shoot. (We aren't taught to fight. No need). Basically it ended up as an excuse to point and laugh at us.

Wonderful job, and yeah, it is totally understandable even though I'm not very familiar with it.

GO AIR FORCE! HOO'AH!

It's not the feedback that I like as much as my reply. The story is "Final Victory", a Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century/Star Trek The Next Generation crossover...

This is starting from the premise that Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century takes place in the same universe as Star Trek. Obviously it does not. And the series never said that Holmes and Lestrade got together.

Yes, they don't take place in the same universe and yes, by the end of the series Holmes and Lestrade were not a couple. In that regard, their lives would have continued after the events in the series, they could quite well have become a couple at some undefined point after the final episode. Along similar lines, in the original Doyle stories, Morierty was an older intellectual, not the more youthful and athletic man depicted in both '22nd Century' and 'Next Generation', nor was anything written that ever involved Morierty with a woman.

There are two concepts involved in this story that seem to have eluded you, allow me to bring them to your attention. The first, Suspension of Disbelief, is where you take reviving someone whose body had been preseved in honey for a hundred years, a robot that thinks its a medical doctor and Royal Army veteran after reading their journals or a computer algorithm that gains sentience due to a misspoken command and say to yourself 'okay, I don't see it happening, but I'm going to ignore that and see where you go with it.' The second, Creative License, is even simpler as it's done entirely on the part of the author; it's saying 'they didn't get together in-series, but they could have after' and 'they don't take place in the same universe, but what if they did'.

It's fanfiction, that means fiction written by a fan of the subject matter, not the actual creators of it. I believe one of my favorite authors here said it best when they said, 'If you want canon, go to the original material'.

Even better part? The guy that wrote that original review? He's not even an author himself.
