The Punisher, for PS2, although an excellent game, is one riddled with anachronisms.
Although based on the movie, in which Castle was an FBI agent, the flashbacks you unlock during the course of the game are from the comics, depicting him as a Marine.
Furthermore, the game takes place in New York City, but at the same time, a car with a Florida license plate (where the movie takes place) tries to run Castle over and Joan, one of Castle's neighbors from Florida, is kidnapped and taken to the Central Park Zoo (the fourth level).
