Haven't been there yet.
Better question on "Starship Troopers", where were the exo-suits?! That was the best part of the book, not to mention the (far too) shortlived cartoon.

Probably ditched to allow better movement for the actors... and so you could see their faces.
Have you ever seen Starship Troopers 2?

Now, I didn't care for the 1st one, so take this with a grain of salt, but it was the worst piece of crap i've seen since, oh, pick any other made for TV movie. Yes, I know it was DTV, and I know the budget was, six mil? Somthing like that. It was bad. Acting from a porno bad (not that I'd know anything about that, mind you. ). The best thing about the first was the FX, the best about the second was when it ended. Ugh! Two weeks to Halloween? Where does the year go?

Don't ask me, I spent three months of it with my jaw in various stages of healing from being broken. Here's a better one for you, it's not even HALLOWEEN yet and already stores are selling CHRISTMAS decorations.
Can you name three differences between Starship Troopers book and movie (EXCLUDING the lack of Powered Armor)?

Never read the book, so no.
What are they?

The book was better, the book was better, and the book was better.
Thank you, thank you, I'll be here all week. Don't forget to tip your waitress. ;D
But seriously;
#1 "Dizzy" Flores is a guy, and he's dead at the end of the 1st chapter
#2 Johnny Rico is flogged for an infraction during a simulation, not the death of a team mate, and he does not attempt to leave the service.
#3 The "Bugs" are an advanced species like us, and use weapons and ships and such. The "brain" bugs don't suck out human brains to get smarter, and Carl is not a empath who can communicate with them.
I'll even throw in two freebies: The MI uses neodog (enhanced doglike creatures that can talk) to scout out the Bugs, and the Army is NOT co-ed.
Happy?

You forgot:
Rico became an officer via OCS, not field promotion.
Carl died in the Bug attack on Pluto
Rico's father not only lived, but joined the MI.
Rico's H&MP teacher and The Lieutenant were two different people in the book.
Carmen was assigned to the Mannerheim, not the Rog.
The Roger Young wasn't destroyed.
The character of Zander wasn't in the book.
Kitten Smith didn't die on Big K, he never made it out of the tube when the Valley Forge and Y Pres collided...
Think I've read the book a lot?

Yes you do.
Why doesn't Hollywood make more decent movie interpretations of books?

Because they have to cram 200+ pages of story into +/- 2 hours of movie and they haven't figured out how to do that without losing storyline...
And Hollywood's incessant need to add gratuitus violence and nudity to everything doesn't help any either.
Speak to Amanda lately?

Haven't spoken to her since last week. I'm kinda scared to call.
How has she been?

I don't know, that's why I was asking...
Have you ever seen MASH (the movie, not the series)?

No. Is it as good as the series?
