It COULD be. In this instance, I'm getting the feel of an underlying "pretty boy" insult to it, despite the award.

1. Who? 2. Where and what's Katsucon?

1. One of the mods of Fandango, name of Naru-bitch. It's her "subtle" way of complaining about how I play Zechs when he's not even in her game. (He's in the sister game, Flamingo U, and I play him with a mental disorder, currently assumed to be manic depressive)
2. Anime con in Washington DC.

*Blinks*
It may not result from a mental disorder, but he IS manic depressive! He blames himself for his father's death, his kingdom's destruction, his sister getting caught up in the war, for Relena's adopted father's death...
Basically, if it happened in the Wing universe, you name it and Zechs pretty much blames himself for it. About the only thing he doesn't blame himself for is Nataku's death and THAT's because Wufei* has THAT sewn up tighter than KFC's vault.
*(or is it Wu Fei? Honestly, he's supposed to be Chinese, so Wu Fei would actually make more sense, but the official usage I've seen has it Wufei)

Thank you god, someone other than Dan and Pocky agrees with me! It's so obvious that he's got something wrong. I'm not sure what it is yet, but I know there's a mood disorder and possibly Dual Personality Disorder in there! Much more mild than Une's, obviously.
And honestly? No freakin' clue. I've always spelled it Wu Fei.
Interesting side note to Nataku's death: It was Treize who ordered the attack that she died in. We're only told that in Episode Zero, though.

Nataku - you've mentioned that.
Zechs - You've got the peace-loving Millardo who can't fight because it would defeat the purpose he'd be fighting for and then you've got Zechs who CAN fight, and fight dirty if he has to. It makes perfect sense that the severe differences in who he wants to be and who he has to be would cause a mental schizim that would result in split personalities. Remember, he tried returning to being Millardo at one point in the series and when force became the only remaining option about had a breakdown before becoming Zechs again?
Actually, thinking about it, that's probably why Heero and Zechs were so suseptible to the ZERO System (moreso even than Quatre), both of their minds had been messed with. Heero had been broken down and reprogrammed by the scientists to have no emotions, but there was possibly a trace of who he had been previously that had remain and ZERO used that, and the Millardo/Zechs split, to drive the two pilots to the level of insanity that it had.

I honestly think that Zechs wants to be Zechs more than Milliardo. He doesn't seem to be the type to me that would take things sitting down, which is what total pacifisim is to me. He's never happy when Treize calls him Milliardo, or at least never responds favorably to it.
But at the same time, he wants to be Milliardo in some respects, if only for Relena. He wants to be the brother she wants, and he can't be because he's spent thirteen years or so being Zechs.
As for ZERO System... I'm gonna have to say that Epyon fucked him up more than ZERO did. Especially after Treize's death. After all, the last time you see Epyon is in the series, not in Endless Waltz. Pocky and I have a theroy that Treize tested the Epyon himself (Explains the randomly appearing Une in his flashback episode, if nothing else) so I'm willing to bet that elements of Treize's personality survived in Epyon's ZERO System. I KNOW that Epyon was formed with Treize's combat ideals in mind (No ranged weapons, more suited for dueling, stuff like that).
With Zechs, everything leads back to two people, possibly four. Treize, Relena, Dorothy, and Heero.

On the other hand, the unfavorable response could be that he knows no matter how much he wants to be Millardo again, what Zechs has done will always be with him.
On a side note - Yeah, THAT is the biggest plot hole between the series and movie - Epyon wasn't with the other Gundams when they were sent into the sun, but come Endless Waltz and Zechs is piloting Tallgeese mk.III with no explanation as to what happened to Epyon.

True.
Personally, I think he blew it up during a depressed state and put himself in a self-imposed exile. Couldn't take the reminder of Treize (And this does not nessicarially mean a 13x6 pairing, they were clearly very good, very close friends, if nothing else) and self-detonated it. Une does react with suprise when Zechs shows up at Preventer HQ. Noin was the only one who didn't think Zechs died when he destroyed that bit of Libra, after all. Even Doro, who grew up with Treize and Zechs, thought he was dead.

I would point out Epyon was beat half to scrap by Wing Zero, then was standing right next to an exploding reactor. There wouldn't be much left after that, probably just enough of the torso to keep him alive until somebody found him floating and brought him back to a colony to recover.

Random Idea #10793 (of 50,000,000): Sing (and by sing I mean scream) My Heart Will Go On in German. It is the only way to show the world just how evil that song is.

*starts smirking*
You wouldn't...
*raises an eyebrow while continuing to smirk*
Yes... you would. I'll go bury my head under a pillow, I think... *leaves the room*
*A pillow comes flying into the room, hitting him in the face.*
*Walks in and picks up her pillow.* Cut it OUT, Johnnie... and you, I'm blaming you for what my ears have just gone through, Daniel...

Do you mind recording that for me so I can send it to the Dr. Demento Show?
