Another Discussion Question

What kind of story do you prefer;

One that builds up to the climax, then ends at the climax with all the emotions there,

or a story that builds up to the climax, hits it, then continues on with the aftermath.

I do like to see the aftermath of whatever big event is in the story. What I don't like is when the author then starts another saga, and it isn't as good as the original.
