My name is Terry McGinnis...
And I am Batman.
For fifty years the five Justice Lords have ruled Earth with an iron hand, eliminating or controlling any who stand in their way and any other people with super-powers, heroes or villians. I say five, but I mean four, for much of that time, Lord Batman retreated and secluded himself in the Batcave, effectively retiring. That's where I come in.
Or rather, that's where the Coalition Against Domination through More Unrestricted Superheroes... C-A-D-M-U-S... Project CADMUS, comes in.
Terry McGinnis, son of Mary McGinnis and Warren McGinnis for all intents and purposes, but genetically Bruce Wayne is my father... He knows. ...CADMUS was his creation.
Galatea Hamilton. Tea is actually a clone of Supergirl, one of the Lords' junior members and Lord Superman's relative. Anything they can do, Powergirl can do.
Rex Stewart. Before the death of the Thangarian spy Hawkgirl, she left the egg with her and Lord Green Lantern's child in Bruce's care. Rex grew up hearing about how the world was before Lord Superman convinced the once-Justice League to take control, with crime and evil but free, and how his mother was a spy for the Thangarians who were seeking to use Earth as a sight for some kind of weapon against the Gordonian Empire. What they found was an oppressed people crying out for freedom that they couldn't ignore. The Thangarian Warhawks - their term for an army - fought against the Justice Lords, but fell. Hawkgirl was killed soon after by Lady Wonder Woman for being a spy. Even though he's only half Thangarian, Rex is the last of his people, the last Warhawk.
Marina Curry. The princess of Atlantis, our final retreat. Aquagirl is one of the few of us who grew up in a free society, the Lords being unable to do much to Atlantis because of the large Kryptonite crystal that gives the undersea nation it's power.
Last, but not least, is Kyle Raynor, last of the Green Lantern Corps. The Corps was once a universal law-enforcement force, but too many were corrupted by power and turned against it, the last of those being John Stewart, the Lord Green Lantern, who destroyed the Corps and the Oans who had formed it. The sole survivor was Kyle Raynor, who now carries the last free Power Ring and Battery...
That's us. The five members of Project CADMUS.

Well, what do you think? It's supposed to be the Batman Beyond-era in the Justice Lords universe from "A Better World".
