I don't know why it's more blue than white. It just turned out that way when I was designing it originally way back. Kinda like why is the Gold Ranger wearing a black uniform? - the only gold the Gold Ranger wears is in his armor...

Not a bad job on Dark Ranger considering what you had to work with.
The girls seem to have more armor than the guys, though.

Actually, Jon's kinda looks purplish. No complaints here.

And of course the girls have more armor. It's full-torso, like J.T. described.

Really? He's not got that much more purple on him than Zack does white...

More accurately, the girls' armor was based on White Ranger Tommy's who in turn used the costume of Kibaranger from Dairanger, hence the use of other Dairanger characters for the girls to achive the correct appearance...

Not to mention the fact that the guys' are protective, but don't protect anything nearly as important as the armor of the ladies, as has been pointed out to me...

And as for the purple, from my angle and my computer screen, it looks dark purple. Maybe it actually isn't, but it looks it.

About Mars

Before he died, Marius's best friend was a young man named Truman. As it happens, Truman's other best friend was Daniel Curtindolph, the future Blue Literati Ranger. While Daniel viewed Truman as a brother, Marius' life revolved around him. So much so that as Daniel and Truman spent more time together, Marius began blaming Daniel for taking Truman away from him. He made it his purpose in life to prove to Truman that he was better than Daniel - more deserving of Truman's friendship, at the least. When Truman died, Marius blamed Daniel and swore that for as long as he lived he'd make Daniel's life miserable.

The theme of Marius's character is "obsession gone wrong." The idea that a person becomes so engrossed in one thing -- in Mars's case, Truman -- that it becomes their whole identity. Marius doesn't care about power he only wants Truman - to be with Truman, to live and die for Truman, to eliminate anything that comes between him and Truman. He doesn't care about the other rangers, Malleus or his goals. While Mars will attack the other Rangers, it's only to use them to get to Daniel. He doesn't care about the rest of them one way or the other, excluding occasionally targeting Amanda - attempting to do to Daniel what Marius sees Daniel as having done to him, taking away the most important person in his life.
