I don't know what the plot of the film is, if there is one, but I can say now, the film is going to suck. May as well let Ube Boll direct that turd. Live action speed racer.........my god. Sweet mother of mercy what's next the fraggle rock film is going to be all live action, no puppets?

History repeats itself, first as tragedy, then as farce. Warner Bros. and producer Joel Silver are working with Mattel to turn "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe" into a live-action film.
Justin Marks is set to write the script. Silver will produce. The story was hatched by Marks and Neil Ellice, the latter of whom will co-produce. Silver Pictures, which is turning the Japanese animated series "Speed Racer" into a live-action film to be directed by Larry and Andy Wachowski, sparked to the potential. Silver Pictures exec Navid McIlhargey brought it in and will be involved in a producing capacity.
WMA-repped Marks is writing a number of scripts, including "One Free Murder," for producer Kevin Misher. But he's found a niche reimagining branded properties. He's turning the animated series "Voltron" into a live-action film for producer Mark Gordon; he's developing a screen version of the vidgame "Street Fighter" for Hyde Park; and he's scripting a feature for Warners based on DC Comics character the Green Arrow. Excuse me, I have to go be violently ill for a while...

Hm...
I'm sorry, but I doubt ANYONE could do better than the Jean-Claude Van Damme/Raul Julia version of Street Fighter...

What. The F*ck. Seriously. What is wrong with them? Why is it almost every greatly heralded TV show and or film in the last 15 or 20 years turned out to be complete and utter shit when it finally hits? The Godzillla remake, The False Episodes, anything Uwe Boll touches, X-Men 2 and 3, the last two Matrixes, etc, etc. Is it because they have no ideas? Is the attitude truly "Who cares what it's about, as long as the kids go."? Why do people keep going to crap movies??! Is it me? Are my tastes so far out?

Samuel L. "Bad-ass Muthaf*cka" Jackson, will be playing the role of Col. Nick Fury in the upcoming Captain America.
Depending on how well he does, that may not be a bad thing...

Heh, I'm gonna need a Mace Windu head and a M(2) Fury body....

And Worser:
Live Action Underdog movie. One good thing? Jason Lee (Dogma, Chasing Amy, Clerks II) is the voice of Underdog. HE BEST RHYME EVERYTHING HE SAYS!
Live action BRATZ movie. Ya know those dolls? The ones that look like sluts? Yeah. Those dolls. Put them in a overdone plot about High school cliques, add Paula Abdul, and make it live action, and you've got a movie that is destined to blow.
Add to that, my mom says it looks like a good movie. "You don't have to think about it," she says.
STATMENTS LIKE THAT IS WHAT LEADS TO AN ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS MOVIE! WHAT THEY TEACH IN FILM SCHOOL IS ACCURATE! AMERICAN MOVIE GOERS ARE IDIOTS WHO CAN'T TELL FROM A LINE THAT THE A/C IS ON, YOU HAVE TO TIE RIBBIONS TO THE AIR VENT TO PROVE IT!

Regarding the live action Speed Racer movie: Images of the Mach 5 are out. IT LOOKS LIKE THE MACH 5 FROM THE SHOW! Thank heaven for small favors.

I have pretty good faith in the Wachoskis. They have enough reverance for anime that I think they'll do just fine for Speed Racer.
Just, don't mess with the Racer X storyline, please?
