Hm...
Zorro, but barely, for being more versitile with his equipment (Note that I use the classic black and white Disney Zorro for my references) - Lone Ranger carries a gun, that's all. Zorro uses a whip, saber, occasionally bolas, and so on.
But that would make an interesting team up...

The Shadow. Once he fogs the Lone Ranger's mind, the battle is over.
Hmm.

Hm... Well, the whole Penance Stare thing is supposed to make you feel guilt for your actions, but Shadow's never struck me as feeling guilty... but at the same time, I don't know if he could cloud Ghost Rider's mind...
Unfortunately, I have to say Ghost Rider.

alternate match-up:
The Shadow vs. The Undertaker?

We already did HellBoy Vs. GR (Hellboy won) so...
A gun toting vigilante with the ability to fog minds versus a presumably undead wrestler...
Undertaker. Just on principle.
Ranma Saotome (Male or female, circa the end of the manga) VS. Yusuke Urameshi (YuYu Hakusho, circa the Black Chapter saga)?

|

(Gotta admit, the urban legend against the deadman would be a HELL of a match...)
Hm, Ranma has fewer limits to his abilities (he learns so quick he'd probably make most of Yusuke's attacks his own during the fight, plus he's pretty unlimited in the number of times he can use most attacks and throughout the entire series Yusuke's greatest weakness was the fact that he could only use his attacks a certain number of times before he had to recharge)....
But Yusuke has fewer limits to his STYLE - he'll hit as hard as possible, as fast as possible, and doesn't care WHAT you are if you're his opponent...
MAD.
Wolverine VS Hellboy?

Hellboy. With the Samaritan he's got enough range and firepower to put Wolvie out of commission for a long time, if not permanently.
Abe Sapien (from HellBoy) VS. The Sub-Mariner?

|
|
Post by J. T./Jessica on Aug 15, 2008 23:08:14 GMT -5
Hm...
Abe's weaker out of the water, but Namor's got a time limit when he's not in the wet...
Underwater, Namor's got more physical strength despite Abe's telepathy and such...
The Avenging Son wins the day.
Tommy Oliver (White Ranger-era) VS Saotome Ranma (Post-Manga)?

I think we did that one before. Ranma. Just on principle.
The Mask (The animated series) VS. Freakazoid?

Freakazoid - he has a steady girlfriend who knows his secret... DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THE FEMALE!
Det. Nick Knight (Forever Knight) Vs. Angel (Angel)?

Angel, because I don't know who Knight is.
Blade (Marvel comics, not the movies.) VS. Angel?
|
|
|
Post by J. T./Jessica on Aug 23, 2008 14:49:49 GMT -5
Hm...
Angel - he's a better planner and is more willing to use his Vampire side to his advantage (take the series finale - when the guy he's fighting comments that [their[ power flowed in his blood, Angel tells him that he just said the WRONG thing, vamps out and bites him, using his blood and power to heal himself and get stronger.). Blade's too much of a berserker in a fight and has to fight his Vampire side.
Short version? Nick Knight is a Vampire turned some eight hundred years ago by the vampire Lucien LaCroix (who sees Nicholas as a son, but disagrees with his quest to regain his humanity, seeing Vampires as being above humans. Though he does occasionally help Nick out of tight spots - usually ones LaCroix's own past has caused...), and has spent that time on a quest to regain his humanity. By the time of the series, he's made his way to Toronto and is a Detective in the Toronto P.D.. By accident, his secret is discovered by Dr. Natalie Lambert, Toronoto coronor and medical examiner, who becomes one of his closest allies and love interest (as much as any love interest can be close in a vampire-based TV show) In the series finale, Natalie asks Nick to turn her so they can be together, he refuses, but is willing to try a theory she has that may cure him. Unfortunely it backfires and causes him to drain the majority of her blood. As she's dying, LaCroix appears and tells Nick that he has a choice - bring her over or let her die. Nick's response is to hand LaCroix a stake and kneel next to Natalie. The implication is that Natalie dies from bloodloss and Nick from the stake, but since you never really see what happens, it's open-ended.
Mr. Hyde (League of Extraordinary Gentlemen) VS. The Hulk?

The Hulk. Again, because I know him better.
Because they're making a comic of it:
Freddy Cruger VS. Jason Voorhees VS. Ash (Evil Dead)?
|
|
|
Post by J. T./Jessica on Aug 28, 2008 22:28:17 GMT -5
Cruger's a non-contender, unfortunately, since the other two just wouldn't be bothered by him and his strength comes from his victim's fear and dreams...
Ash. He and Jason are both chainsaw weilders, but Ash also packs a shotgun AND knows a couple magic spells.
Judge Dredd VS The Punisher?
