Since I've gotten back into HMW and been redoing my team - including the character pieces I'm writing for them - I've felt it's time that I actually get started back giving them bios again....
Name: Nightwolf (inactive)
Function: Tracker/Survivalist
Alt Mode: Grey Wolf
Motto: "This night, our enemies shall feel the fangs of the wolf!"
Bio: Over the centuries, Nightwolf’s fellow Decepticons have begun to wonder whether he is a Cybertronian with an animal transformation or an animal in a robotic body. Of all of the Mars-based Decepticons, Nightwolf spends by far the most time in his alternate mode, even having gone so far as to fight in battles using only the claws and fangs of it instead of transforming into his robot mode. Adapt at surviving in almost any terrain from freezing arctic wastes and arid deserts to burning savannah and jungles where there’s as much water as trees, Nightwolf is usually the one sent to recon areas where there’s suspected Megatronian Decepticon activity or where there’s a possibility for energy collection. Nightwolf has a habit of disappearing into the wilds of Earth for extended periods, usually showing back up at the Ark or on Mars with numerous new dents, scratches and other injuries, all topped off by a large grin.

Name: Stormmaster
Function: Gladiator/Assault Specialist
Alt Mode: Cybertronian Artillery Truck
Motto: "Surrounded on all sides, the odds against us are a million-to-one... and that's just the way we like it!"
Bio: The known part of Stormmaster’s history begins when he joined a Decepticon gladiator team led by a Tarnish mech known then as Megastorm. While both mechs were feared in single combat, the ‘Twin Storms’ as they were sometimes known were truly at their most dangerous in Tag Team battles, two mechs with one goal - Victory. As the extent of the High Council's perfidy became known, Stormmaster stood with Megastorm as an underground movement to remove the High Council from power began. From the first attack on a warehouse that the Council used to store energon being siphoned into their private stocks to the taking of Darkmount itself, the 'Twin Storms' continued to fight as one until the day Megastorm - having renamed himself Megatron - announced his new philosophy for the former rebels and the Decepticons as a whole; 'Peace through tyranny'. Unwilling to trade one dictator for another, Stormmaster and others turned against their former comrades that now supported the new Decepticon goal of galactic conquest and fought back, but caught between Megatron's forces and the Autobots, they were forced to retreat off-planet. Splintering into factions under several different former-ranking officers of the Decepticon Battlefleet, they set out into the sea of stars to gather their strength for the day to come when they would take back their home.
Stormmaster can be described as mercurial at best; introspective and taciturn one moment, gregarious and boisterous the next, with no pattern or reason for the change. Some under his command believe that behind this trait lies a deep guilt for his part in the destruction Cybertron's felt in the Civil War, others point to the changes in Megatron as the cause. But only one other besides Stormmaster himself knows the truth...

Name: Bodge-Job
Function: Scavenger/Engineer
Alt Mode: Humvee 'H3' rescue type
Motto: "Give me ten hours and we'll see what I can bodge together..."
Bio: Bodge-Job's entry into the ranks of the now-Mars-based Decepticons is notable for the fact that he is not a native Cybertronian, instead being from one of the colonies that had been founded during the Golden Age, and encountered there during the Travels at which time he joined them as a way off his home planet. Over the years, Bodge-Job has proven himself an asset in the fields of scrounging and acquiring supplies and improvising equipment. An expert at using whatever materials he has on hand to do almost anything he needs to do, Bodge-Job can turn defeat into victory with a ton of steel, an arc welder, and a roll of duct tape. (What he needs the duct tape for, no one is really sure.) Almost as important, he can turn a pile of mismatched spare parts into anything his team needs to repair themselves or even use it to create a whole new body frame.

Name: Anla'shok
Function: Ranger
Alt Mode: ISA White Star-class Monitor
Motto: "We walk in the dark places no others may travel, we stand on the bridge and no one shall pass."
Bio: During the time of the 'Mars Decepticons' travels, one of their number fell into a strange vortex in space, disappearing for several centuries. Finally, he returned, but he was... changed. Having taken a new name in a strange language, Anla'Shok now possessed firepower to match some of his strongest teammates, shields and a cloaking device that masked him from all Cybertronian sensors, but the strangest change was in his own form...
His alternate mode, while different in form, was still a space craft, but Anla'Shok had become a techno-organic Transformer, his body covered in a living armor that was almost impenetrable, self-repairing, and adaptive. With every battle, Anla'Shok's armor develops new defenses, preventing any weapon from being as effective a second time.
In spacecraft mode, Anla'Shok uses a unique magnetic/gravimetric drive system aquired during his disappearance and can create 'jump points' into hyperspace, enabling him to cover great distances in short amounts of time. While limited to energy weapons in monitor form, Anla'Shok prefers close-combat weapons or hand-to-hand combat when in robot mode, appearantly due to training during the time he was away. When asked even by Stormmaster, Anla'Shok refuses to tell where he had ended up, only answering that he had learned to stand against the darkness that would be coming...
Story: TBW, undecided.
Name: Overload
Function: Warrior/Supply Officer
Alt Mode: Tow Truck
Motto: "There is no 'Overkill'. There is only 'Open fire' and 'I need to reload'."
Bio: As an Autobot, Overload was a bold and daring soldier and a tactical genius on the front lines. Unfortunately, as a Micromaster, Overload often found himself assigned to cargo transport missions instead of combat. Combined with the unending jokes because of having the same design as Autobot leader Optimus Prime, only Micron-sized and blue, this started to wear on the Micromaster until, when the Mars-based Decepticons revealed themselves, Overload surprised even himself by volunteering to be the Autobot ‘ambassador’ to them. Almost as surprising was that Overload immediately found himself accepted by them, respected for his fighting and tactical abilities and a new-found ability at getting the resources they needed, which was a kind of tactics and combat itself. After a year on Mars, to celebrate his ‘one-year anniversary’, the Mars Decepticons used their own resources to give Overload one of the things he had wanted most by building their Micronian friend a Standard-sized body with a design different than that of the Autobot leader, keeping the ‘Prime’-style helmet that he had actually grown used to, but giving him the alternate mode of a tow truck in place of his former Cab-Over Tractor mode. The change had startled many of the Autobots the first time they saw Overload’s new look before they grew used to is. Equipped with arm-mounted blasters and Decepticon flight systems, his new size is the LEAST dangerous thing about Overload, as anyone who has faced him on the battlefield or tried to double-cross him in supply negotiations will attest.

Name: Uplink
Function: Communications
Alt Mode: Cybertronian Cargo Carrier/Communications Relay (Mobile Fortress)
Motto:
Bio: "In war, he who thinks slow is defeated fast."
Uplink’s medical abilities actually evolved from his continual redesigning and rebuilding of himself to better his hacking and communication abilities during the days before the Mars Decepticons split from the main force of Decepticons that were loyal to Megatron. As Autobot Intrusion-Countermeasure Electronics of the time grew more sophisticated, Uplink needed better equipment and a better interface with that equipment. Unfortunately, neither existed, so Uplink took it upon himself to create it by turning himself into a living hacker’s deck by adding numerous communication uplinks, code breakers and other hardware to his robot and battle station forms and downloading associated software and codes into his own programming, giving him the ability to make most non-sentient computer systems think that he’s simply a subsidiary unit making a standard data dump/retrieval when he breaks into them. These upgrades gave him a better understanding of Cybertronian physiology and made him de-facto Chief Medical Officer of the Mars Decepticons since he could repair most injuries. The biggest problem most of the Mars Decepticons have with Uplink is that although he can use the techniques he used on himself to streamline their processing and decrease action/reaction time, he almost always wants to try out some new program or design on them. Luckily, Uplink does know how to take no for an answer when another Cybertronian doesn’t want to be used as a test bed. Usually, though, that leads to Uplink using himself instead, so he often ends up with something built or programmed into it that he has no use for. Others have suggested he remove these additional components and programs, but Uplink counters that while he has no use for them now, they might be helpful in the future.
