*Several minutes of incoherent ranting and raving* Federal Judge Rules Pledge Unconstitutionalwww.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,169379,00.html Now, I'm not the most religious person out there, but come-frakking-on!! It's the PLEDGE. Put your hand on your heart, face the flag, and say it. If you're afraid your tongue will fall if you say "under God" DON'T SAY IT; it's that simple. Goddammit! (Whoops, guess I can't say that anymore!) I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, UNDER GOD, indivisible , with liberty and justice for all.

I might not be as... profane about it, but I have to agree with my husband. My father didn't serve in Vietnam to see this happen.
Newdow, if you don't like it... LEAVE.
*Goes off to look through J.T.'s burned discs for the song "Hey, Hollywood" with the lines about "If you don't like it you're free to leave" and "I'll even help you pack your bags if you want, if you want to leave".*

And by high school, most kids just stand up, put their hands on their hearts, and just look at the flag. They show respect, but keep thier mouths shut.
No one says it by high school anymore. I didn't.

This just in, folks:
The Demon Child, the Anti-Christ, has been born.
Briteny Spears (The muses light several photos of her on fire) gave birth to a baby boy last night.
She had it by ceacearen because she is too much of a wuss to have a natural childbirth.
I don't want to go through the pain either, whore, but there's something new called the epidural, numbs you from waist down. Little to no pain. I'm having a natural one with the epi, unless the doctors say it's not safe and I need a C-section.
News from the ticker this morning.

No one says it by high school anymore. I didn't. Let me tell y'all a story about THAT. J-ROTC, Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps, is an elective at Dalton High. And no, I didn't pick it, I already knew anything they would teach and this is a prime example of that... Wednesdays the Junior Rot-C (Pronounced Rot-Sea, a disparaging term used by Non-Coms and officers who came up through the ranks for officers who have their rank because they were part of their ROTC in college.) Cadets had to wear their uniforms. Well, one of the first times one of the Cadets in my homeroom class came in wearing their uniform, when the time for the Pledge came, they did NOT remove their cover NOR did they salute properly (Being in uniform, they should have done a military salute, not the civilian hand over the heart). What pissed me off was that the damn TEACHER didn't say anything to the cadet until I had already started to get on their case!

As a former JROTC cadet (Staff Sargeant by senior year, BTW), I'm outraged that they didn't even know how to salute the flag properly! We would have been repremamnded harshly if my platoon was that lazy.
In other news:
Don Adams, who played Maxwell Smart in Get Smart, Tennesee Tuxedo, and Inspector Gadget, has died. (Plays Taps softy.)

Eh, I'd still cast my vote for Cthulu, if he/it's running. Like they said in '04, why settle for the lesser evil?
