Why is it no one is willing to believe that I know what I want and what I'm saying, for no other reason than the fact that I'm only twenty-one?

Has anyone ever noticed that, in Episode One, for two people who supposedly just met Qui-Gon and Shmi seem at times to be quite close?

Message on a T-shirt: "I like my presidents like I like my coffee: black and strong."
My immediate response: "It's a good thing I don't like my presidents like I like my coffee, or this nation would have no executive office..."

If you listen closely, you can hear two-thirds of the civilized world rejoicing in unison. ^__^

Interestingly enough, we do have a watermelon someone gave us as a gift sitting in the kitchen.

"With Great Power comes Great Responsibility."
... With Great Responsibility comes Great Consequences.
Because Spidey came to be: Felicia became the Black Cat, Osborn (and later Harry) became the Green Goblin, Eddie Brock became Venom...
Because Bruce became Batman: Red Hood/"Jack"/an assassin for Valestra/any number of nameless schmucks became the Joker, Harvey Dent became Two-face, a small army of children have been put into form fitting uniforms...
Because Daredevil exists: several women have been killed (in the case of Electra, repeatedly killed)...
Because Reed Richards is too damn curious for his own damn good: Ben is forced to be a rocky lump of a man, Ultron was created (or was that hank Pym?), Dr. Doom is constantly threatening the world...
I'm beginning to think the world may have been better off without some superheroes.

Ultron was Pym.
And double-yeah on Doom. In one of the older What If?'s, "What if the Fantastic Four had died?", Dr. Doom and Latveria were staunch allies of the West, S.H.I.E.L.D., etc. (There was a splash across the bottom half of two pages that showed Doombots and S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, led by Col. Fury and Dr. Doom, fighting Soviet troops and tanks), so I can believe that.
And don't forget things like; Gwen Stacey wouldn't have died...
Here's another one for that same catagory. Name the "superhero" who dated a woman, when she died began dating and eventually married a woman who looked exactly like her - because he thought it was her with amnesia - then left his wife (and, if I remember correctly, at least one unborn child) for the first woman when it turned out she was still alive, then committed bigamy by marrying the first woman without divorcing his wife when she disappeared, upset by his actions... oh, and is now sleeping with a THIRD woman after his second wife/first girlfriend's actual death.

That would be Cyclops. The bastard...
And don't get me started on how how the shit the X-men have to endure is Xavier's fault (the other half being split between Apocalypse, Cyclops and Wolverine).

Yeah, I know...
Personally, I'd actually be more willing to trust Magneto than Xavier. For one thing, he's not just spouting platitudes, he knows what he's talking about from EXPERIENCE! (Holocaust survivor, remember?) He'll take anyone as long as they believe in the cause (How many times has members of the X-teams parted ways with Xavier over his methods, secrets, etc?), and even if he doesn't always tell the whole story he never straight up lies to people (unlike Xavier, who actually tried to MIND CONTROL HIS LOVER when she chose to leave rather than remain at the mansion when he founded the Institute.)...
Plus, let's see - compare and contrast; Xavier sends Sage to the Hellfire Club, LETTING her get caught as a spy and put under Mastermind's control JUST so that his own mental blocks aren't found and she'll be able to gather information on the Inner Circle. Magneto, despite never directly telling them that they were his children, saves Wanda and Pietro from an angry mob and all he asks in return is that they fight by his side.

So, if so many superheroes are pricks/causing (intentionally or not) the trouble they're trying to stop, who do we trust?
The only heroes left that I'd rely on are: Captain America, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern (Hal, Kyle or John) and the Punisher.
