Dark Claw Beyond.
New Gotham, 2035...
A decaying city that has reached it's last legs, the streets are ruled by Hyenaz, bands of gangs that have taken on the name and style of Dark Claw's greatest foe. Police Commissioner Jubilation Lee is fighting a losing battle...
And the legendary Dark Claw has disappeared...
Until one night a new Dark Claw appears, with a new suit and new weapons, a new Taloned Avenger for a new breed of villan.
Her name is Theresa McGinnis, "Terry", and she is Dark Claw Beyond.
(Theresa "Terry" McGinnis/Dark Claw is an amalgamation of X23 from Marvel's X-Men: Evolution continuality and Terrence "Terry" McGinnis/Batman from DC's Batman Beyond continuality.
Factoid: X23 is James Howlett/Logan/Wolverine's clone/daughter in X-Evo, Terry is Bruce Wayne/Batman's clone/son in BB...
...You'd need to be versed in the Amalgam Universe to understand it all.)

For those NOT versed in Amalgam...
Amalgam is a joined world of Marvel and DC...
New Gotham is Marvel's New York City and DC's Gotham City.
Jubilation Lee/Sparrow is an amalgamation of Marvel's Jubilation Lee/Jubilee and DC's Robin (Which one? I forget.)
Dark Claw is the amalgamation of Marvel's Wolverine and DC's Batman (and a damn good character in his own right!)
Hyena, of course, is Creed H. Quinn, the amalgamation of DC's Joker and Marvel's Sabretooth.
And of my own additions; The Hyenaz are DCB amalgamtions of Batman Beyond's Jokerz Commissioner Jubilation Lee is the original Amalgam Sparrow with a touch of BB's Commissioner Barbera Gordon added in.
And, as I said, Theresa "Terry" McGinnis/Dark Claw is an amalgamation of X23 from Marvel's X-Men: Evolution and Terrence "Terry" McGinnis/Batman from DC's Batman Beyond.

Amalgamation: Steel Freedom: John T. Magnus Componants: 'Marvel': (More or less) Johnny Freedom - John T. Magnus DC: Steel - John Henry Irons.
Backstory: Project Cadmus, dedicated to creating a new Super-Soldier after the appearant death of the original, created several villians (Including Bizzarnage) and one hero (The Outragous Spider-Boy) before their closest success: The Steel armor. Instead of using the original alien DNA that had created Super-Soldier, the Steel Project, headed by Dr. John Henry Irons, created a suit of armor that duplicated Super-Soldier's powers, turning whoever wore it into a near-literal one-man army.
With the return of the real Super-Soldier, there was no further need for Steel and the project was cancelled. That was, until the return of Ultra-Metallo and his Green-K power source when Super-Soldier was unable to get close to the Nazi war machine because of a weakness to the radiation from the Green-K.
John Magnus was an occasional Freelance Reporter working with Pete Ross, the Outragous Spider-Boy to the public, but to those involved in Project Cadmus he was also a Major in the United States military.
When Cadmus learned of Super-Soldier's trouble with Ultra-Metallo, Director Tom Harper authorized the reactivation of the Steel Project. Unable to handle Steel himself, Dr. Irons turned to the major with his Metamutant healing factor that would allow him to survive the armor until it could be completely finished.
When Magnus put on the armor, he became Steel Freedom, who, along with Spider-Boy and Super-Soldier, finally destroyed Ultra-Metallo, and began the formation of a new team of heros...

*Grumbles*
Why is it that when it's an AU story, people seem to automatically assume that it will ALWAYS have the same events as the regular universe? THAT'S WHY IT'S AN AU, PEOPLE!
Read the latest review of "What If? Batman/Superman" to understand what brought this on.
If I want Lois to have survived this long and Brainiac not to come to Earth until later on, AUTHOR'S RIGHTS!
...Thank you.

*reading The Amazing Spider-Man, iss. 66 - Yes, 66, as in the November 1968 issue* "Gwendy"?! *Laughs* If possible, those two are even sappier that we are. *without looking up from her Green Lantern comic* Um-hm. *Half-grumbles, half-chuckles.* Cliffhangers... The Man and his boys really know how to keep us fans coming back for more, even if we weren't even alive when it first came out...

As a further example of my ability to read into things,
In the early comics, one of Peter's pet names for Gwen was 'Gwendy'.
In the MTV series, Indira usually goes by 'Indy'...
Peter and girls with names that end in 'ndy,' see the connection?
(Anti-Mary Jane! Down with the redhead!)
Excuse me?
Sorry... Down with MJ! Bring back Gwen or bring Indy into other Spidey media!
I just had to marry someone who takes his comics seriously, didn't I?...
Oh, well, at least this isn't a repeat of the "Roger Stephenson" Fiasco...

Funny, the two stories I WANT reviews saying for them to continue, "Magnus 2" and "Destiny's Threads" have NO reviews at ALL...
"What If Superman and Batman Were Brothers?" WAS supposed to be a one-shot, but in ONE week it's gotten SEVEN reviews, most of which want me to keep going with it! From one-shot to two chapters and people still want MORE!

Why is it always the RED Ranger that gets the enhancing battle systems (Battlizers, etc...)?

You all know one of my pet peeves is when people don't complete a saying, right?
Like "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again" and they forget "then quit, no use being a damned fool about it."
Or that the first part of "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned" goes "Heaven hath no rage like love to hatred turned or..."
Well, I just learned the rest of the saying about "Opposites attract" ... it goes "Similarities last".
