~DRAMATUS PERSONAE~
Name: Kirby Schultze
Age: 19
Ht./Wt.: 5'8"/158.8 lbs
Eyes/Hair: Hazel/Brown
Kirby Schultze lived next door to an eccentric genious named Tyrone for as long as he could remember. He noticed that most kids in grade school didn't like him for his spastic, brutally honest, neurotic behavior. Kirby, being Tyrone's opposite - a careless, cool slacker - quickly became the young prodegy's first and only friend. A year later, Tyrone began to skip several grades ahead. While Kirby waded through junior high, Tyrone was preparing for college. Soon Kirby stopped hanging with his brilliant friend all together.
Years later, Kirby decided to enroll in Cook County University, mainly to syop his folks from badgering him about it. The Dean saw no reason to let Kirby enroll, as he was too average in grades and too poor in funds. But the dean found out that the slacker was friends with the school top junior archeologist. Kirby was given the opprotunity of a life time: a free five year scholarship to CCU - in exchange for being Tyrone's assistant! Kirby calmly agreed, thinking, how hard could it be?
... Mr. Schulze would come to regret that decision...

Name: Tyrone Leon Anderson
Age: 20
Ht./Wt.: 5'6"/143.8 lbs.
Eyes/Hair: Brown/Black
Tyrone was, to say the least, odd. If one asked his parents, he was a prodigy. If you asked his peers, he made Steve Urkel look like Chris Rock. Possessing an IQ of 255 at age 10, Tyrone clearly out his fellow classmates. Unfortunately, he also possessed the social skills of a rabid, one legged kangaroo. The only real friend he had was a terminally lazy boy named Kirby, and their "friendship" was questionable at times.
Tyrone skipped several grades during his twelfth year of life, partially to get a challenge, partially to escape the scathing tongues and hard fists of his peers. He soon found himself in high school, where, during a field trip to an archeological dig site, he found proof of the lost society called Mu. He was soon after "drafted" by the Archeology department of Cook County University. He earned his doctorate in archeology in four years instead of the usual ten. Since that time, Tyrone has been hunting for the lost continent of Mu throughout the Indian and Atlantic oceans, and blowing through assistants like tissue paper.
But the dean has just informed him that a good friend of his would be willing to take the job...

Name: Megan "Magellan" Wright
Age: 33
Ht./Wt.: 5'6"/ 130.2 lbs.
Eyes/Hair: Brown/ Brown
Very little about Megan's childhood is known except this: She's always had the need for speed.
At age twelve, she was the U.S. Junior Go-Cart Racing Association's top driver, three years running. At age eighteen, she became the world's youngest pro drag racer. At age twenty, she joined the U.S. Air Force. Five years later, she became their top test pilot.
At age thirty-three, she has piloted, driven, navigated, and aided in fixing every type of vehicle known to man, except the Space Shuttle. She has earned the name "Magellan" for her amazing piloting skills and calm in the face of danger. She is now a "professional transporter," ensuring the safety of many VIPs, from the President to the Pope. Currently, she is under the indefinite employ of one Tyrone Anderson, archeologist for Cook County University. The places she must transport him to are rugged, exotic, dangerous and often untouched by modern man.
She couldn't be happier...

Name: Ricardo "Ratchet" Cratchett
Age: 15
Ht./Wt.: 5'6"/ 180 lbs.
Eyes/Hair: Brown/Black
Ricardo Thatchet, otherwise known as "Ratchet," is the son of a Spanish woman and a famous English inventor for the British government. As such, he has access to prototypes of many devices that even MI6 has not had the chance to test. On behalf of his father, Ratchet gives these prototype weapons and tools to the greatest adventurers in the world.
At the top of this list are inventor Cratchet's best coustomers: Tyrone Anderson and Lady Brixton. Over the span of a year, Ratchet has become close acquaintances with Tyrone, and has sent him some of his own inventions - usually improvements on his father's work. Many times, the gadgets have saved hours of work, and even lives.
The only thing they have yet to save Tyrone from is Lady Brixton's envious rage...

Name: Lady Jane Brixton
Age: 38
Ht./Wt.: 5'7"/138.2 lbs.
Eyes/Hair: Blue/Brown
Anyone who's known Jane Brixton for longer than five minutes knows there are two sides to her personality: The stereotypically snooty, cold, English upper-class Lady Brixton, and the adventurous, exciting Jane of the International Adventurers Society. It is this second persona that has gained her fame - or, rather, infamy. Having grown tired of her semi-royal life, she suddenly decided to become an explorer around her 21st birthday. She enjoyed the thrills of visiting exotic locals and disovering new things. Any new discoveries that furthered historical and archeological studies were simply by-products of her insatiable wanderlust.
Years later, she would find a rival in Tyrone, who took a decidedly opposite view to exploration. He desired a cerebral challenge, and any adventure that came from it was but icing on the cake. She at once respected and envied him, and started to undertake her greatest challenge yet: finding Mu before he did. But each time she gained even the slightest clue about the lost continent, he always beat her to the information and artifacts. He had even become friends with her supplyer! It was when he got an article in National Geographic Magazine - which she never did - that turned envy into hatred.
There are some, to this day, who wonder what motivates her. Those who know her best know the truth. Her adventurous half is motivated by the need to see everything in the world.
Her royal half is motivated by her need to see everything in the world before Tyrone does...

Name: "Gary Indiana" (Will change when I find a better one.)
Age: Unknown. Assumed to be in his late twenties.
Ht./Wt: 5'8"/Unknown
Hair/Eyes: Brown/Brown
In the annals of history, there have always been rouges with charm, grace and a code of honor. Catwoman, Arsene Lupin and Lupin III, Robin Hood.
Gary Indiana, a once poor street urchin that had to steal to survive, aspired to be like these legendary thieves.
Taking his name from his hometown, Gary has, through years of "practice," become a master thief. He has even gone so far as to steal gadgets from other thieves to pull off higher quality heists. He is a master of disguise and has rarely been unable to successfully steal whatever he wants.
Unfortunately, Gary's time is swiftly running out. Under his civilian alias, Gary found out that he has an inoperable cancer that will soon kill him. It has already begun to affect his mobility and reflexes, making him unable to pull off the stunts needed for entry and escape. He has decided to pull off one last heist; a robbery to end all robberies.
He will steal Mu. Not the artifacts within Mu, or the means to find Mu, but the lost continent itself. In doing so, he will have secured his place in the thievery hall of fame, as well as established a nest egg with which he may retire and pass his legend on to his torchbearer - and son - Eric.

Name: Eric Thompson
Age: 23
Ht./Wt: 5'11"/160 lbs.
Hair/Eyes: Black/Brown
Eric is the son of the notorious gentleman thief "Gary Indiana," and the only one who knows the truth about Gary's age, techniques and methods. From a young age he was taught gymnastics, martial arts, computer hacking, fencing, alarm and trap deactivation, lock-picking, how to spot a scam, how to spot a sucker; everything a young boy should know to become the next master thief (And Eric should know - his father stole him from his mother as a baby).
He had become the "Boy Wonder of crime by the time he hit puberty...
But he doesn't want to be a thief that steals from innocent people.
Unlike his old man, Eric had a sense of justice. He wanted to steal from criminals. From corrupt politicians. From pirates, not unlike the ones that torment Tyrone and Kirby often. There seemed to be only one way to become the kind of crook he wanted to be, and that would be to force his father to retire.
To that end, Eric has sought after Tyrone, offering his services. He knows of his dad's plan to steal Mu and the steps he plans to take to get it. Eric may become invaluable to the team, as their journeys become more and more perilous.
Besides, as the saying goes, "it takes a thief to catch a thief..."

The Steel Lions
A yakuza based in Osaka, the Tatsushishi-gumi (Steel Lion Family) is one of the many semi-legal organizations that splintered off since the disbanding of the Yamagushi-gumi - the largest yakuza in Japan since WWII. The Steel Lions speciallize in protection rackets in arcades and the red-light district. Recently, however, the family had been set upon hard times. Other groups had been muscling in on their turf when their oyabun ("godfather," technically) had died of lung cancer. The Tatsushishi struggled to promote a new oyabun and regain footing in Osaka. They moved into new forms of money-making, like sokaiya (extortion from large companies by bying stock and showing up at stockholder meetings to harrass stockholders). To fund this, several overseas members of the yakuza resorted to base theft - in the form of piracy.
Piracy - organised theft of valuables by large, well armed groups -had been increasing, especially near archeological sites around the Pacific and Indian oceans. The Steel Lions, though loathe to stoop to such a base act, decided to steal artifacts from certain sites and sell them on the black market through their many associates throughout Asia. To insure that things went smoothly, the family sent their best two "bodyguards:" a master assassin known as Shinniju (The Death Beast), and a normal-looking young girl called Vic...
Name: Chikako "Vic" Tezuka
Age: 19
Hight/Weight: 5'3/110.7 lbs.
Hair/Eyes: Black/Brown
The Tezuka family of Nagasaki was never very well of to begin with. Ryo was a simple salary man, his wife was a simple house wife, and Chikako was a simple tomboy.
Until the Tetsushishi Yakuza bought over sixty percent of Ryu's company's stocks and launched a hostile takeover. The Tezuka family now owed their new bosses more money than Ryo could ever make at his job. It was at this point that Chikako made a deal with the gang: Her life for her father's debt.
Chikako was beautiful, intelligent, and adept at several martial arts. At her high school, she was known as as "The Great Swordmaiden," because there were few in the kendo clubs who could best her and her Kage-no-Ryu ryuu Iai ("Dragon's Shadow style of Iaido"). After careful consideration, the Tetsushishi accepted her offer.
She was never seen in Nagasaki again.
From that point forward she was known as "Vic," an enforcer for the Steel lions under the guidance of "Shinniju," a master assassin. Her latest mission was to ensure that the group's collateral from piracy was safely "obtained" and transported back to Japan. Only two things jeopardise her success: her unorthodox sense of honor, and a slacker American named Kirby...
